Awwwwwww

Hey Y’all,

As you’ve probably noticed, The Somewhat Ambitious has died in the ass. This is for a number of reasons, all of them good, and mostly to do with the fact that both Paul and I have become really quite occupied with a number of new, paid writing jobs. Also, I had exams. And Paul was busy levelling a mage. He’s now level 65. Go Paul, go! So yes, you’ll have to forgive a lack of regular updates here for the next little while. I assure you it’s not for want of love of The Somewhat Ambitious and the people that read and commented upon our stories. And I do hope it’s not the end of The Somewhat Ambitious brand either. But you’ll just have to bear with us a little while as we work out exactly what happens next and how we can take The Somewhat Ambitious in new and profitable directions. I assure you, exciting times are afoot and as soon as various non-disclosure agreements elapse, we’ll let you know all about them.

In the meantime, you can track both Paul and I over at The Vine, where we have been busy writing reviews, doing Top Tens and keeping up blogs. Some recent highlights:

Luke’s three-times a week blog The Seventh Estate

Paul on the Top Ten Awkward Screen Kisses

Luke on the absolutely horrific new Astro Boy film

Also, make sure to follow us on Twitter where we post a variety of interesting and entertaining links (Luke) and potentially offensive hyper-cryptic inanities (Paul).

And just so there’s something to tide you over for a little while, here’s a bunch of Christian white boy rappers telling you about the glory of the Christian side hug, a handy way of hugging your friends while keeping your crotches from coming into contact. Fresh.

Christian Side Hug from The Fathers House on Vimeo.

Talk soon,

Paul and Luke

LOL! We miss you guys like nuts…banter on the Twit-o-Graph (c’est moi, busbuddha)…and you hit us with whitey Christian rap. Noice! :D

Well, if you need a new writer, much of my paid work is unsatisfying to my more “random shit” mindedness.

Glad you guy’s are keeping busy (except perhaps Pauls mage) and good to hear from you again. I’m going to guess that Paul has something to do with weekend breakfast on JJJ? Wishfull thinking maybe…

Can anyone else hear The Imperial March under that song? It starts at about 1.16.

Luke, does your Vine blog have an RSS feed available, cause if it does I can’t see it, and if it doesn’t, that seems like something of an oversight.

@Destructor: yeah, I think it might be RSS-less. Definite oversight, but they have a slightly cumbersome internal blogging system, and I also think (due to the reasonably substantial ad content) they prefer people to actually come to the site. Which is annoying, but business is business…

This is the basic link though: http://www.thevine.com.au/blog/lukeryan/default.aspx

Missed your antics on here guys, but have been reading your various blogs and reviews on The Vine.

Yeah, my site died in the ass too… My new hobby is photography. I’ll start following the vine in my exponentially diminishing free-time at work I guess!

Seeing as we are witnessing the “suspension” of the somewhat ambitious era, I will give you a farewell gift = my very first photoshop attempt involving some lighting bolts I snapped with my brand spanking new Nikon D90 and Michael Jordan’s head… via e-mail.

You guys rock, I’ll still be watching this space… but not in a creepy way or anything, I swear it!
