Paul Verhoeven (right) is on Triple J, as host of the Weekend Breakfast Show. He is a writer and film critic for Yen Magazine, and insists he is a regular columnist for Horse and Hound magazine (unverified). He recently finished a weekly series for The Vine called Curiageous where he answered people's burning questions and drank his own urine. He enjoys ducks.
Luke Ryan (left) is a stand-up comic, writer, and general man-about-town. He is a news blogger and feature writer for The Vine and also writes for the music blog Electrorash and the street mag ThreeThousand. In 2009 he performed at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival in his oh so descriptively titled show 'Luke's Got Cancer'. It was funnier than it sounds.
Both of them spend more of their time then they should perusing the Internet and gaming. The Somewhat Ambitious is essentially the product of this excess.

I used to love this site, but lately the slow update schedule is starting to annoy me, and there is not really any original content. All you two seem to be doing is posting youtube videos they like..that isn’t really comedy, that’s just the “What are people watching now” page on Youtube..I would have expected more from two people as funny as you guys.

@zendainc We would have posted the paragraphs and paragraphs of witty commentary in video format, by way of youtube clips we shot ourselves. Unfortunately, we’re too poor to afford recording equipment. You know. On account of the dysentery.

@zendainc: yes, yes we know we’ve been remiss in our duties (although perhaps you are being ever so slightly uncharitable about what is, essentially, a charitable process from us), but un/fortunately some people have started paying us actual dollars (and cents!) to make words appear on a page for them. it’s just made life a little busy really. however, if you have some spare cash lying around we’d be more than happy to write for you too. just let us know and i’ll set up a paypal account.
