Or is it? Sure, you might think that nothing interesting happened in World War II, or that the Cuban Revolution was a hell of a bore, or that Afghanistan is about as fascinating as watching sand grow. But would you still think that if you had Spiderman fucking shit up in a war-torn city?

Or perhaps having Superman preside over the liberation of a German castle?

Or maybe just to have Darth Vader chilling out with Stalin, Churchill and some other guy who looks like he could consume your soul with his eyes alone

Which would of course beg the question as to why we didn’t just deploy these dudes in the opening stages of the war and be done with it. I mean, I’d give Superman 24 hours to punch his way into Hitler’s bunker and then through his face. If that. We could have all just finished up for the day and gone to get ice cream. But no. We had to do it the old fashioned way. Six years of noble sacrifice and valiant struggle and such and such. So much waste. So much uneaten ice cream. Sigh. Stupid war.

That’s awesome!!
Though it looks like ole Darthy’s carrying a plastic light saber….
Reminds me of the Klingon military propaganda video I saw on Neatorama today…and how oddly old school communism it seems!
And there’s a drawing of zombie fighter Velma with a feral Scooby on BoingBoing that makes me think Velma is even hotter than she was before.
Jinkies!

I love it! I think I could’ve actually learnt history if I substituted all the popular figures of years past with a superhero! Mother Teresa would be Superwoman, Napoleon Bonaparte would be Captain America, James Cook would be Silver Surfer, Miley Cyrus could be Hannah Montana… I think I would actually stay awake for that one!
