I can quite honestly say I would take a far more pressing interest in Australian parliamentary happenings if they bore more of a resemblance to those of South Korea:
So, that happened yesterday. Democracy. The highlights are multiple, but I particularly enjoy the lady screeches at 0:10 and the awesome fighting moves at 0:26. Apparently they were “debating” the passage of a bill aimed at liberalising restrictions on the media.
It passed.

Paul Verhoeven (right) is on Triple J, as host of the Weekend Breakfast Show. He is a writer and film critic for Yen Magazine, and insists he is a regular columnist for Horse and Hound magazine (unverified). He recently finished a weekly series for The Vine called Curiageous where he answered people's burning questions and drank his own urine. He enjoys ducks.
Luke Ryan (left) is a stand-up comic, writer, and general man-about-town. He is a news blogger and feature writer for The Vine and also writes for the music blog Electrorash and the street mag ThreeThousand. In 2009 he performed at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival in his oh so descriptively titled show 'Luke's Got Cancer'. It was funnier than it sounds.
Both of them spend more of their time then they should perusing the Internet and gaming. The Somewhat Ambitious is essentially the product of this excess.

Question Time would do so much better in ratings if our politicians resorted to fistycuffs. It’s wasted opportunity really!

There is a lot of pent up aggression/sexual tension built up in parliament that would make for very compelling viewing indeed.

@Halia totally agree with you! Do you reckon the male politicians would actually come to fisticuffs or more of slapping across the face and hair pulling.

I love South Korean politics! Maybe this is why the North keeps threatening to invade, but never does.
I’d love to see our gentrified congressional reps here in America go at it like that! Course, they could handle it for maybe 5 minutes and then be out of breath!
On the other hand, someone really needs to take this footage and dub over it in some British Nature Show Announcer voice. That’d be funny!
