HOLY HELL what a long absence. So, so sorry dear readers, both Luke and myself have been terminally busy of late, and it shan’t happen again. To make up for the break, here’s something you’ll enjoy: the brand new trailer for Battlestar Galactica: The Plan. I cannot stress this enough; do NOT watch it if you haven’t seen the series yet. I promise you, if you do you’ll get kicked very hard by me for a week. Luke, I’m looking at you.

Paul Verhoeven (right) is on Triple J, as host of the Weekend Breakfast Show. He is a writer and film critic for Yen Magazine, and insists he is a regular columnist for Horse and Hound magazine (unverified). He recently finished a weekly series for The Vine called Curiageous where he answered people's burning questions and drank his own urine. He enjoys ducks.
Luke Ryan (left) is a stand-up comic, writer, and general man-about-town. He is a news blogger and feature writer for The Vine and also writes for the music blog Electrorash and the street mag ThreeThousand. In 2009 he performed at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival in his oh so descriptively titled show 'Luke's Got Cancer'. It was funnier than it sounds.
Both of them spend more of their time then they should perusing the Internet and gaming. The Somewhat Ambitious is essentially the product of this excess.

So what is the attraction with Battlestar Galactica anyway? I don’t get it. A crappy remake of a seventies sci fi show with a stupid talking robot.

I love Jungle Book. Watched it like every week as a kid. I miss that old school animation…
I tried to google search Beckoning but all I came up with was people with their hands out kinda like they were beckoning for me to take their hand and join them in the land of google so I did. Wish I had’ve put safe search on tho cause i ran into Ron Jeremy a few times and by the third time it was just awkward and I was so embarrassed cause I could see his doogle.

Paul, as with all great nerds I tend to spout off opinions with no basis at all. It’s how we get by in society sometimes.
Harry Potter was derivate rubbish, ripped off from Gaiman’s Books of Magic series until I actually read it.
But truly, how good is Galactica? Should I be ashamed as a nerd to not have watched it?
Should I buy the DVDs next time they are on sale?
