Holy crap! Monday morning! If you’ve just woken up and missed Nerds of a Feather, don’t sweat it, the podcast will be up later. In the meantime, here’s what Robbie, Marieke, Lindsay and myself discussed:
- The repurcussions of the whole twitter hacking/facebook hacking/erotic Marieke debacle of the past few weeks!
- We chatted about a new invention which might (I say ‘might’ because people are adept at finding ways around shit like this) help you to study. And by help, I mean chain you to a twenty-pound iron ball.
- We discussed the Wowpod, which Luke covered in much more detail (and with much more anger, and arousal on his part) here!
- I claimed Marieke eats leather in front of school children, an unfortunate character quirk, as she’s up for sexiest vegetarian of the year. Make sure you vote for her here, and if you’re so inclined, vote for The Doctor as well. I guess he’s kind of sexy. In a bookish sort of way.
- I tried to convey the pure unadulterated terror induced from watching Queenie in Trouble, from Dogway Melody. You’ll just have to experience it for yourself, really.
- We riffed about Danger Mouse (the DJ, not the tiny crimefighter)!
- And finally, we chatted about a technological breakthrough which might (if you eat ALL YOUR VEGETABLES) allow warp speed to be achieved! I endeavoured to use this same mysterious energy to make Lindsay say something about me, but I got distracted and he went off-topic. Dammit.
As usual, the podcast will be ready for download later today from this very blog. Luke and I have lots of stuff for you this week, and next week, a brand-spanking-new Somewhat Ambitious podcast should be up and available for a listen! We may also blog a transcript of a live-blog from when we both watched Dogway Melody. Probably the best half hour of my life thus far. Which is obviously not true, but hey, THERE WERE THREE DOGS SEWN INTO A FUCKING RAINCOAT, PEOPLE!

I voted for Marieke! And Lindsay! But I can’t pledge to be vegetarian for a month…I just like meat too much!
