Now, I must admit I haven’t really gotten into this whole ‘let’s Auto-Tune every piece of TV audio we can find just to see what regular television would sound like if it was Kanye West’ mini-meme (yes, Kanye, I blame you squarely for all this) but I have recently had drawn to my attention quite a superb effort by Steve Porter. No, I have no idea who he is either, but hey, it’s the Internet, who gives a shit. Now, Steve has taken an infomercial hosted by some knob-jockey called Vince (how perfect is that) for the ‘Slap Chop’, a bizarre game-show buzzer/kitchen knife, and with the aid of Auto-Tune and some kicking synths has turned it into an oddly catchy, electro-hip-hop party jam.
Not that I’d really want this played at my party. I’m suspicious of anything to do with cooking.
For the sake of comparison, the original, which definitely has its charm:

Surely ‘Rap Chop’ is a form of brainwashing, along with a lot of the other things I find on this website. It’s odd, although I hate rap, and techno music, I cannot stop listening to this, and I really want a Slap Chop…

Just a question. At the end when hes shredding the cheese…”Fredachini, Linguini, Martini, Fetini…..” What’s the recipe for shredded cheese and Martini, and what the hell is Fetini?
