The hardest bit about this post was working out which of the brutally calorific delights to be found over at the aptly named This Is Why You’re Fat I should actually use to represent the site. In the end I settled on the mighty Turbaconucken, a country classic served with a fresh twist: bacon wrappings. Presumably a handy way of both upping the cholesterol levels and keeping Jews out… or maybe not. Also featured on the tumblr are a seven pound breakfast burrito, a corn dog pizza and your first coronary.
Although, this dovetailed awfully well with this list of the worst 20 foods in America in 2008, courtesy of Men’s Health. Baskin Robbins has now taken out the number one spot two years running: last year with the majestic Heath Bar Shake (I thought they’d ironically named it a Health Bar Shake initially…), a drink that contained more sugar than 20 bowls of Froot Loops; and this year with the Large Chocolate Oreo Shake, a drink that, in their words, is:
soiled with more than a day’s worth of calories and three days worth of saturated fat, and, worst of all, usually takes less than 10 minutes to sip through a straw.
It also apparently has 1700 mg of sodium and 263g of sugar, which does seem like quite a lot truth be told. The shake itself doesn’t actually look that exciting, so instead here’s a picture of a fat guy with a rip in the crotch of his jeans doing a fly kick

Also, This Is Why You’re Fat is not available in China. Maybe this is why they’re not fat?
