The Somewhat Ambitious

Good God, it has been a solid month and a half without an Obama dedicated blogpost. And amidst signs that he is the most widely approved of and anticipated incoming President in living memory, it seems only fair that we revisit him on the eve of his inauguration. Yes, his inauguration, this most august of occasions, when the man we all dubbed ‘Super-Jesus’ finally takes the reins of power from the horrible Nemicron and rides the earth off into the depths of space like the Greek God he most certainly is.

Which brings us rather neatly to Head O State, the Obama themed adult… ‘toy’. The tagline is ‘You Love Your Candidate, Let Him Love You Back’. And none of this namby-pamby ‘I have the word Obama written down the side of my…”toy”‘ crap, oh no, the Head O State has a full-blown likeness of the man himself moulded on the, er… head of the… ‘toy’. Marketed as the official Obama pleasure… ‘toy’, the Head O State comes with testimonials by such luminaries as Sarah Palin, who has, this campaign would lead you to believe, uttered the phrase “Drill, baby, drill” while using the, uh… ‘toy’. Available in both blue and gold (am I the only one who thinks they should have been selling a ‘Patriot Pack’ featuring red, blue and white varieites? That or just a black variety…….. what?), the Head O State…’toy’ is sure to bring joy to even the most dour and defeated of Republican households.

One note: there are no batteries involved and so it is a fairly self-directed sort of…’toy’. As somebody pointed out, this is the fucking President! Surely you should be able to just lie back and let him take care of business. Surely. I wonder what Michelle thinks…
