Smashing Magazine has posted a list of the “100 most beautiful movie posters“, and whilst I don’t agree with all their choices, there are a couple of stunners in the mix. In some cases, the poster is actually better than the movie. I’m looking at you, Baz: Moulin Rouge fucking sucked. There, I said it.

I second the hate for Baz Luhrmann. Romeo + Juliet LOOKED great, but it’s easily the worst movie I’ve ever seen… so bad that I find myself proclaiming it online with every chance I get.

A general look through of all the posters there tells me that it was probably one or two people who chose the whole list and that their taste in imagery is almost the same. A vast majority of the posters look the same in a different way. If you can understand what I mean.

It might also be the ones I picked, and my preference for a specific aesthetic.

On the website thoough, not just the ones you have linked here. The ones off the website all have a sort of comic/grindhouse style to them.
