Two planets over 300 light years from Earth have collided recently, and scientists are giggling with excitement (as are Red Dwarf fans. Remember when Lister played pool with planets? Anyone?). Various astonomers from UCLA and CALTECH said the crash ocurred between two stars in the Aries constellation. Apparently the planets exchanged numbers, although witnesses say a small fight broke out shortly afterwards.
The reason the astronomers were watching? They were attempting to measure the star’s age, and found massive amounts of dust orbitting it. The scientists claim that this proves something previously thought impossible - that planetary collisions can indeed occur in fully matured star systems, such as our own. Does this mean we’re about to get punched in the face by Venus?
Probably.

I’m sure the LHC will save us from colliding with another planet. By save us I mean nullify the planet before anything else can. I can’t wait to celebrate Black Hole Day.
