The Somewhat Ambitious

Whilst it might seem like we’re piling hatred onto Sarah Palin (spoiler alert: we are), this bit of news from the blogosphere* proved too good to pass up. In an article in Time, it has been revealed she expressed interest in banning books. Whilst apparently lacing her policy and decisions with her religious beliefs (in America? GTFO!), she inquired as to how she might go about having certain books banned. The librarian who was asked these questions, Mary Ellen Baker, was apparently threatened with termination by Palin. Baker was unavailable for comment, but she was probably off burning a bra whilst carving an effigy of Mohammed out of a larger effigy of our sweet lord, Jesus Christ. Why am I being sarcastic and weird? Well, partly because I’m like that 99% of the time (the other 1% I’m made up of vapor). But mostly because this Palin thing is frustratingly hilarious, and I’m convinced Alan Ball and the writing staff of Passions have been scripting it for a year now, just so we don’t get bored during the election season. Fifty guineas says they’ve been writing drunk.

*It’s technically more of a dome, but “blogodome” sounds stupid. Blogosphere, we feel, sounds marginally less stupid.
