The Australian Centre for the Moving Image (ACMI) is showing the incendiary Lynch film Blue Velvet tomorrow night at 10pm. The ACMI cinema is at fed square, and if you haven’t been there before, they have an amazing cinemateque program. I’ve seen Blue Velvet about eighteen billion times (in dog years, thats like, what, twelve?) but I’ll be there with bells on, as will several others. Admission price is irrelevant, as anything Lynchian immediately transcends the banality of legal tender.
