The trailer for Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince has been released online, and I have one word.
PANTS.
Yes, I just used “pants” as an exclamation. The trailer looks amazing, and seeing as how a) This, next to Phoenix, is my favourite in the series and b) The films have been getting better and better since that dickhole Chris Columbus left the franchise, I’d say we’re in for a pretty spectacular piece of cinema. If you haven’t read the books, the trailer probably only made sense in a fragmentary way, but if you’re fan and have spooled through the high-def version matching glimpses of scenes with parts of the book (Ginny getting disarmed, Ron on the floor half dead, Dumbledore having a showdown surrounded by flames)… again, I say PANTS. It looks gorgeous, dark and vast.
You know, like an eight-mile-high dark chocolate easter egg. Or Heathcliffe from Wuthering Heights, if you’re very small.

Pants indeed! Gotta love how dark it feels.

Gives me chills.
ALTHOUGH
I seem to remember in that scene where Dumbldedore meets Tom Riddle, Dumbledore was supposed to be wearing a flamboyant suit of purple velvet, and he was supposed to have auburn hair.
This is the scene that jumped to my head when JK anounced Dumbledore’s sexuality. I want more flamboyance!!

That’s right, I said it. Dapper as fuck.

I was under the impression that if something was “Pants” it was “shite”. Please correct me if Im wrong but while living in London, which I suspect is the origin of the expression, I never once heard it used in a positive light.

I think you’re right, actually; I meant it as “wow”. This might be another example of me misusing a word. You know, like when a black guy is overheard using the phrase “it’s the BOMB” on a plane.

And by “wow” I mean “gosh”, not “World of Warcraft”. I, of all people, would not refer to Warcraft as “pants”. At least not the way you’re referring to it.
Christ, I think I just gave myself a nosebleed.

lol, hopefully though this misuse wont illicit a similar response.

by my earlier comment, I mean. people running and screaming irrationally and you getting arrested for calling The half blood prince “Pants”.
