Patch: Not a cute dog.

July 16th, 2008 · 2 Comments

The latest patch of WOW, patch 2.4.3, has added two notable changes to the game. The first is the addition of Haris Pilton in the World’s End Tavern (the former being a reference to the pigeon of the heiress world, the latter being a Tavern in Shattrath referencing a similar establishment in Gaiman’s Sandman). Haris will sell boutique items, such as bags and blowjobs. One assumes.

The second addition is much bigger: mounts can now be obtained at level thirty. This will obviously help with levelling, travel time and car (read: horse) chases. It really only becomes a negative when you consider the widened gulf of cool shit (levelling incentive) between 30 and 60, at which point you get your epic mount. That, plus Manchux busted his balls to reach 40 mainly to get his mount, and now level 30 rubes are going to be hooning around on their elekks.

Damn kids and their rap music.

Haris Pilton haas been an NPC in The worlds end tavern for quite some time (well before this patch) and much like the real character from which this spoonerism is derived, didn’t really do anything…

    Well said.

I saw her there before, but until she started selling those wares I just assumed Outland and our reality were bleeding together. You know, and letting all the whores in.

    Take THAT, Philip Pullman!
