Having just gotten back from a writing trip in WA, my Google Reader was filled to bursting point. Incidentally, if you ever get a chance to play or get engaged to the Adams Family pinball machine, do so.
Seriously. If it had hands to hold and a heart with which to love (the latter which i think it does actually have), I’d run away with it. By the way, the going price for this amazing machine is around 6.5k on ebay, so if anybody feels like being exceedingly generous whilst displaying a propensity for frivolous expenditure bordering on mental illness, please, bid.
Please.
Also, this week on The Breakfast Show (Tuesday at 8.15am) I’ll be talking about robots that can (nay, WILL) kiss you, a gaming piggy bank, Marvel’s Hollywood crossover campaign and the impending retirement of Bill Gates. If you want to listen online, head over to Triple J via the link in our sidebar.
First off the bat, here’s ‘Lord of the Rings by George Lucas’, a short film which pretty much makes George Lucas look like what he is. A colossal dick. A dick who made Star Wars. Thankyou, George. Also, George? Whilst i have you, i hate you. I hate you so much it’s helped me wean myself off coffee.
Here’s ‘How George Lucas Might F@#% Up Indiana Jones 4′, from the same guy. Same coffee joke.
If you’re a rampant WOW fan, or you’ve escaped it’s clutches and have convinced yourself that your five-day Guild Wars binges are somehow on step down on the crack ladder (they’re not), this video will grab you. Very simple premise. I may or may not have spat milk all over my macbook. Which was odd, as i hadn’t had any milk in a few days.

Regarding your appearance on Triple J Breakfast this morning, specifically ‘I got sick and tired of losing my save games whenever windows crashed, so I bought a Mac instead and I love it’
I whole heartedly agree. According to http://store.apple.com/au/browse/home/shop_mac/software/action_games?mco=NDA5MTQ the only games you can get for Mac are AoE, Warcraft and EA games, and it’s really no loss if you lose the savegames from ANY of them!

Believe it or not, part of the reason i got my Pro is that a friend (who shall remain nameless) showed me how well WOW ran, then did that slowmo thing with his dashboard, then yelled “CAN YOUR HEWLETT PACKARD PIECE OF SHIT BRING THAT TO THE YARD?!”, to which i replied “…maybe”. I then proceeded to cry for an hour, before resolving to change camps. Never been happier!

Dude, it’s WoW, my mate’s Olivetti 486 could probably run it at 60fps
